Weblogs in Language Education RAITH 2009

In this video Sandra Echeverri and I present the main ideas of the paper Weblogs in Language Education by RAITH 2009.

In this article the author articulates different theoretical constructs such as sociocultural principles, multiliteracies and writing in FL (Foreign Language) to explain how web 2.0 has changed the teaching approaches in FL. The author focuses on the use of weblogs. When using this software social application learners assume new identities since they become part of a community. Besides having a real audience enhances their engagement in writing and their own texts are more meaningful because audience is inmediate.
